Stirred not Shaken, a brand-new one-woman dramedy performed by award-winning actress Lynita Crofford, will be on The Drama Factory stage in Strand on Saturday 20 December.
The spicy play, written by Susan Hayden, follows the journey of feisty Kathryn, a woman who finds herself alone at her kitchen table wondering “what the focaccia?” Still reeling from the shock of an empty nest, this “perfect” wife and mother wakes up to the reality of a bitter betrayal where the life she worked hard to create turns out to be a sham. Armed with a cook book, a martini and newfound determination, Kathryn sets out to hone her knife skills. But is she ready to turn up the heat and serve a five-course reckoning?
Directed by the acclaimed director and actress Natasha Sutherland, Kathryn’s wry humour and shockingly raw honesty will make the audience laugh out loud as the curve-ball she never saw coming becomes a catalyst to finding the parts of herself she had locked away in a drawer.
- Two shows will be staged at the Strand venue at 15:00 and 19:30. Tickets, at R200 each, can be booked online at www.thedramafactory.co.za.
