Emergency services attend vehicle collision scene on Lourensford Road where car flipped on its side.
Emergency services responded to a vehicle accident in Lourensford Road, Somerset West on Friday (1 August), when a collision between two vehicles left one car flipped on its side. The accident occurred at 08:37 and involved a Suzuki and a Renault, according to Kevin Jacobs, spokesperson for the City of Cape Town’s Traffic Services. According to the accident report of Somerset West police, the driver of the Suzuki was turning into Lourensford Road from Main Road, when the collision occurred. The driver said she didn’t notice the Renault approaching from Lourensford Road, resulting in the impact that left her vehicle on its side. The City’s traffic officers and Fire & Rescue Service, as well as paramedicsfrom ER24 attended the scene, which was cleared by 09:37. No injuries were reported.
