Community grieves after double homicide in Mfuleni

A leader of the South African National Civic Organisation (Sanco) in Mfuleni said the community was reeling from the fatal shooting of two men in their shack at Extension 6 on Tuesday 18 August. The leader, who refused to be named for fear of reprisals, urged law-enforcement agencies to leave no stone unturned and to make sure the perpetrators were caught. The leader said they were unsure what had happened that led to the murders.

“I have heard of the shooting incident where two men were gunned down while sitting in their shack, but I don’t have the full details. I still need to find out more about it from other community leaders in the area. All I know is that crime is rife in Mfuleni.”
