The City of Cape Town is calling for applications for arts, culture and heritage grants, with funding available for organisations running projects across the metro.
Applications for the City’s Grants-in-Aid programme are open until 30 October. The programme supports organisations implementing arts, culture and heritage projects and programmes within the city.
In 2025/26, the City allocated R3,81 million through the programme to 14 organisations supporting arts, culture, heritage and community development initiatives across the metro.

Mayco member for community services and health Francine Higham, said arts and culture could open doors for people, nurture talent and create opportunities for communities to come together. She had visited some of the organisations supported through last year’s programme, including Masi Violin Outreach and Sbondaba Dance.
“These are exactly the kinds of programmes that can help young people discover and develop their talents, build confidence and find pathways into the creative economy. I encourage eligible organisations with strong, sustainable projects that can make a meaningful difference in our communities to apply,” Higham said.
