Durban police may have recovered the body of Andrew Blackwood-Murray, the pilot who crashed into the ocean during an airshow last month.

Authorities say the body was possibly washed ashore by currents. Although unidentifiable, the pilot is believed to be in his sixties and was wearing a flight suit, eNCA reports.

The 61-year-old Andrew Blackwood-Murray went missing after his ZS-AEC Extra 300 aircraft went down near the Suncoast Casino during its final display at Virginia Airport. The airshow was part of the Next Generation of Aviation Professionals (NGAP) Global Summit 2025.
