The Tempe Archery Club was one of eight hosting clubs across South Africa for the annual South African National Archery Association (SANAA) Indoor-Outdoor Championships, held over the weekend of 3 and 4 October.
The Bloemfontein leg of the championships took place at the Floreat Hall at the Tempe Indoor Sports Facility, Tempe Military Base, bringing together archers from across the province to compete for national honors.

The event was officially opened in the presence of the president of the Free State Sports Confederation (FSSC), Edward Saunders, who attended the opening ceremony to wish all the archers the best of luck for the competition.
Saunders also took the opportunity to experience the sport first-hand, picking up a bow and shooting a few arrows himself – much to the delight of those attending.
