It does not matter if you are a master chef or a home cook – everyone can participate in this year’s National Cupcake Day Campaign.

The Bloem Cupcake Angel Team is asking bakers to pledge a few – or a lot of cupcakes – that will be sold on Saturday 26 September as part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Every cupcake baked and pledged becomes part of a much bigger national effort to raise funds and bring support, smiles and hope to famiies facing childhood cancer.

Imagine hundreds of local bakers all baking for the same reasons – businesses challenging their teams, churches baking together, schools getting involved, families turning baking day into a family activity.

The cupcakes will be sold at three malls in Bloemfontein – Mimosa Mall, Loch Logan Waterfront and Northridge Mall Saturday 26 September from 09:00. Support the cause next weekend by going out and buying the cupcakes.

Visitors to the stands at the malls, can make a donation of R10 or R20 and choose a delicious cupcake from the selection of baked and donated cupcakes from local donations.
