Stellenbosch FC has secured the services of their academy graduate Devin Titus for the foreseeable future, with the versatile midfielder signing a contract extension after making over 150 appearances for the Cape Winelands club.
The 24-year-old put pen to paper on his new deal earlier this week, cementing his commitment to the club that launched his professional career.
Titus expressed his delight at extending his stay with Stellenbosch FC, acknowledging the pivotal role the club has played in his development.
“Stellenbosch FC is the club that gave me an opportunity to follow my dream of becoming a professional footballer, so I’m very happy to have signed a new contract here,” Titus stated.
The midfielder credited the entire organisation for his growth. “I’m incredibly grateful to the club and all the coaches, staff, and players who have given me this platform to showcase my talent, and hopefully, there is even more to come in the next few years.”
Stellenbosch FC’s development structures produced Titus, who made his professional debut against Black Leopards in 2021 at just 19 years old. His consistent performances have elevated him to become the club’s third-most-capped player of all time.
Titus played a crucial role in Stellenbosch FC’s 2023 Carling Knockout triumph, earning the tournament’s Most Valuable Player award. His exceptional form continued the following year when selectors included him in the Nedbank Cup Team of the Season.
The midfielder has helped Stellenbosch FC reach consecutive MTN8 finals in 2024 and 2025, demonstrating the club’s growing stature in South African football. His performances have also contributed to the team’s qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup in successive seasons.
Titus’s club form has not gone unnoticed at national level, with the player earning call-ups to the Bafana Bafana squad, representing the pinnacle of his career achievements to date.
With Gavin Hunt recently appointed as Stellenbosch FC’s new head coach, Titus will look to continue his development under fresh guidance whilst maintaining the high standards that have made him indispensable to the Cape Winelands outfit.
