Zwelethemba Library and the Nalibali Reading Club celebrated World Book Day on 29 April welcoming pre-schoolers from Khanyisa Educare Centre in celebration of World Book Day. The event was dedicated to honouring books and emphasizing their significance in our lives. Librarian Rosemary Matshikiza (second from left) said “reading is a powerful tool for shaping young minds and nurturing the creative thinking necessary for future leadership. “Today’s reading campaign is just one facet of our ongoing commitment to promoting reading cultures, particularly in indigenous languages,” she remarked. “Our partnership with Nal’ibali is integral to our mission of ensuring that the library remains a vibrant and inclusive space for learning.”Photo: Namhla Monakali
