Worcester beats Touws River CC by 7 wickets

This past Saturday, 12 November, Worcester United Cricket Club played against the Touws River Cricket Club. Touws River won the toss and elected to bat first. The opening bowlers of Worcester CC in extreme windy conditions controlled the game upfront very well with disciplined bowling. Touws River CC were bowled out for 152. Worcester CC started steadily with the opening pair putting a 45-run opening stand. The batsmen who followed continued this form and eventually scored the winning runs of 153 in the 34th over, securing a bonus-point 7-wicket win. Photo: Tamsyn Jantjies
