Two children drowned in a dam in Zwelethemba earlier in the week. Police were called to the scene on Tuesday morning. According to Warrant Officer Vathiswa Jacobs, a spokesperson for Worcester police, two sets of clothing were found beside the dam, but only one body had been retrieved. She said the father of one of the boys started looking for him on Monday evening at 19:00. “The boys’ friends told the father much later they had gone swimming at the dam.” On the police’s arrival at the scene one of the bodies was seen floating on the water’s surface.
