Titans TTC coaches upskilled to better table tennis

Last month the International Table Tennis Federation Level 1 Coaching Course was held in Worcester by the Cape Winelands Table Tennis Federation. The course was facilitated by a former SA Champ and a current SA coach, Anver Lyners and attended by 11 participants consisting of teachers and club coaches from the Cape Winelands district. Three coaches from Titans TTC attended. All the participants completed the theoretical part of the course successfully and are now in the process in doing the practical part at schools and clubs. “For Titans TTC this is another step towards our desire to focus more on Learning and Development skills by enhancing our leadership and coaching abilities” said the chairperson of the club, Jerome Pietersen. “We are proud of our coaches who completed the course, and who can now use this knowledge to better table tennis not just at our club, but to promote the sport into the community.” For any information about table tennis development or if you want to join the club, contact: Jerome Pietersen (Chairperson – 079 1621 865) or Stephen September (liaison, club and schools – 078 666 2803).
