Jewellery and a .38 special revolver were subsequently taken by the suspects. They also fired shots at a man who tried to approach them.
“The items were taken from a safe in the house. As the suspects were about to the leave the house, they were confronted by a man. They fired shots in his direction, but none of the bullets hit him. The suspects fled from the scene.”
According to reports, the suspects fled on foot. No one has been arrested in connection with this incident as yet. A Facebook post regarding the attack suggests it was a brother and sister who were at home at the time of the incident while their parents were away.
