Make every drop count!
With Level 1 water restrictions in the Langeberg area in place, the municipal health services launched a water conservation campaign to encourage residents to avoid wasting water.
In an innovative idea, the municipal health services’ bus was transformed into a mobile water-saving hub, visiting Robertson and Nkqubela on Friday 7 February. The bus supplied residents with information and practical solutions on how to use water sparingly. This included distributing educational materials and demonstrating practical water-saving techniques. Environmental health practitioners (EHPs) were on hand to answer questions and provide demonstrations, making the experience interactive and engaging.
“This isn’t just a campaign, it’s a community coming together to protect a precious resource. Langeberg is proving that when it comes to water conservation, action speaks louder than words – and a mobile bus can make all the difference!” said Mahlatse Mahlobogoane, EHP in the Langeberg region.
