The persistence of police in the Wolseley policing precinct to combat crime was rewarded when they confiscated a huge consignment of drugs on Saturday 18 March. The officers were busy with stop and search operations when they followed up information and proceeded to an address in Madini Street, Pinevalley. Upon arrival they conducted a search of the house and the occupants. They went the extra mile and started to search the yard, where they found 24 700 Mandrax tablets packaged and hidden in the garden. They subsequently arrested a 46-year-old female and detained her on a charge of dealing in drugs. Once charged, the suspect is expected to make a court appearance in the Wolseley Magistrates’ Court.
