A 30-year-old Wolseley man survived a gunshot wound to the head.
When the police arrived at the scene of the incident in Hope Street, Pine Valley, the victim was seated in an upright position.
“A lot of blood was pouring from the gunshot wound behind his left ear. The victim could still talk and was able to give officers the relevant information,” said a Wolseley police spokesperson.
According to the police report, a possible motive for the attempted murder could be an issue relating to a girlfriend. The suspect was, however unknown to the victim. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital in a stable condition. Police are currently investigating a case of attempted murder. No arrests have been made yet. – Tamsyn Jantjies
