Twee Jonge Gezellen Wine Estate – produces vintage only Cap Classique on the 300-year-old farm in Tulbagh. Explore the gorgeous farm then enjoy a bubbly tasting with an unobstructed view of the mountains. Make to sure to spoil yourself with the most beautiful proteas that grown on the farm.

Raptor Rise Guest Farm – Raptor Rise is a sure contender for best guest farm. The farm provides various-sized cottages and rooms for guests. The units are well equipped and perfect for a weekend breakaway. The grounds are lush and saturated with gorgeous gardens, and also has pools to keep you cool on those balmy nights. The farm’s tranquil setting is sure to help you reset.

Readers Restaurant – Situated in one of Tulbagh’s most historically rich streets, Church Street, you can expect hearty meals from Chef and owner Carol Collins. She cooks and prepares her meals with intent and it will leave you deeply satisfied. Make sure also to sample her otherworldly ice creams, which include a variety of non-traditional flavours.

Tulbagh Hotel and Spa – The hotel is housed in a building that dates back to the 1800s. However, the modern decor stylishly pulls it into this century. The hotel offers luxurious suites and has three pools where one can lounge. Make sure also to experience what its spa has to offer.

Ceres Zipline adventure tour – A must for adrenaline junkies. As you enter Ceres, the Zipline base is situated to your left. The zipline is 1,4 km long and has eight slides.

Koelfontein Wine Estate – This farm is situated on the ascent to the Gydo Pass. It is also the Ceres region’s only wine producing farm. Its award winning wines can be bought directly from the farm.

Sip Café – Literally a hidden gem. The café on Slagboom Farm is in Witzenberg Valley Road as you enter the Witzenberg Valley. The restaurant is made from two shipping containers and a marvellously covered deck, and has the most interesting rock formation as backdrop. Sip Café offers a mouth watering menu, including pizzas and salads and pies, and the most delicious desserts served in glass jars.
