Three passengers are dead and the driver seriously injured after a Greyhound bus collided with a truck near De Doorns. The driver is currently trapped inside the bus and is being freed by emergency services. The N1 is currently closed in both directions.
The Sky Med emergency helicopter has been deployed from Cape Town.
According to Kenny Africa, Western Cape head of traffic, a truck broke down next to the N1 between De Doorns and Touwsrivier, after which another truck collided with it. Apparently the Greyhound bus then crashed into one of the trucks from behind.
