The body of a man was discovered at the cemetery in De Wet Street on Thursday (11 August).
Minutes before the discovery, a white BMW was seen exiting the cemetery.
“As the car left, I saw the body and when I went to take a closer look, I saw the rope around his neck and I immediately screamed for help. That is when the car left the cemetery speedily,” says a witness at the scene.
The deceased, dressed in a white top, blue jeans and black takkies lay towards the left hand side of the cemetery.
All stakeholders were dispatched to the scene.
