Blaze in Bainskloof put to rest

The fire that destroyed more than 260 acres of vegetation in the Bainskloof pass over the past weekend has been extinguished. Close to 100 firefighting personnel and volunteers of the Cape Winelands District Municipality, CapeNature and Winelands Fire Protection Services assisted to put the blaze to rest. Two helicopters were also dispatched to the scene. By Monday morning (30 January) the fire was put out.Foto: Johan Botha, CWDM
