The baby boy whose body was discovered in a ditch on the corner of Durban and Baring streets earlier this year was murdered, says the police.

According to the autopsy results, it was confirmed the baby, between four and six days old, was strangled to death. A worker of EGS Maintenance cleaners discovered the baby, who was thrown away in a black bag. “The mother is still at large and we seek the community’s help in finding her,” says WO Vathiswa Jacobs, Worcester police spokesperson.
