The scenic town of Yzerfontein is calling all art collectors, interior designers and enthusiasts to its annual Art Route holiday events, highlighted by a five-day expo featuring the best of West Coast creativity, starting next week.
From Tuesday 16 to Saturday 20 December the Yzerfontein Community Hall will transform into an art lover’s paradise for the annual art expo.
This is a free-entry event, offering a fantastic day out for the whole family. Visitors can browse and, as per their choice, purchase original pieces from 25 talented local artists.
Hours are from 09:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 19:00 daily and on Saturday 20 December from 09:00 to 15:00.
Creative workshops for young and old: Running concurrently with the expo, the Yzerfontein Art Route will host Artist Workshops. These sessions are for young and old and offer a wonderful opportunity to learn new skills directly from exhibiting artists.
Tickets for these workshops are available at the “I love Yzer” shop.
Explore the West Coast’s creative homes; the celebrations continue after Christmas with multiple sessions of Open Home Studios. This is a unique opportunity to step inside the working spaces of local artists, see their processes, and purchase art directly.
Dates are Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 December from 08:00 to 13:00), Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 December from 10:00 to 16:00, and Friday 2 to 4 January 2026 from 10:00 to 16:00.
