On Saturday 22 January the West Coast District Sport Council hosted the 2021 Sport Awards at the White City Multi-Purpose Hall in Saldanha.
These awards, which are across all sporting disciplines and five districts, for the period of September 2019 to September 2021.
Langebaan Strandlopers received five of the 14 awards, with Clive Cupido being recognised as Sportsman of the Year and Photographer of the Year.
Wimpie Schlehmeyer also received the Newcomer of the Year as well as Sportsman of the Year with a Disability, while Caity Schlehmeyer was named u-23 Junior Sportswoman of the Year. “Congratulations to all winners and thank you to the evening’s hosts.”
