Hopefield High School is incredibly proud of two of their primary school athletes who represented the school at the SA Schools Athletics Nationals at Green Point Stadium during Friday 20 and Saturday 21 March. Kgotso Monama (left) delivered a brave performance in the u-13 Boys high jump, finishing in the top 6 with a height of 1,60 m. He unfortunately twisted his ankle during his attempt at 1,65 m, but still showed great determination to finish strong. Anneke Basson (right) had an outstanding competition in the u-13 Girls discus, securing 3rd place with an impressive throw of 3,10 m. “A big thank you and well done also goes to their parents and coaches for their continued support, encouragement, and the many hours invested behind the scenes. Your role in their success truly makes a difference,” the school added.
