Angell Pholman, an athlete of Langebaan and a member of Langebaan Athletics Club, has been making the West Coast very proud, especially her hometown. Pholman respresented South Africa at the Confederation of School Sport Associations of Southern Africa (Cosasa) Games in Swaziland. Taking part in the 4×200 m relay, 400 m and 800 m events, Pholman has earned a silver medal in the 4×200 m relay event, second in the 400 m and gold in the 800.
According to her club, Angell is an exceptional athlete with a notable record, having won the SA Champ title in the 1 200 m in 2023 and 2024. This year she secured a second place in South Africa in the 800 m and 1 500 m (girls u-13) category. She will be returning home to the West Coast on Friday 29 August where she will be welcomed.
