Imagine fast jets, skydivers, gliding, high-flying aerobatics, heart-pounding stunts, drone challenges and live music – a 15-hour mega-extravaganza set to be the highlight of the year!
Prepare to be amazed by awe-inspiring display teams, incredible aircraft and mesmerising performances of daredevil pilots. These include the likes of Dave Mandel in his high-performance L39 Albatros jet trainer, Grant Timms in the Aero L-29 Delfín jet, the iconic Alouette II helicopter piloted by the war hero Juba Joubert, Derek Lord’s legendary Bosbok, James O’Connell taking flight in the beautiful Boeing Stearman and Andrew Blackwood Murray in the magnificent Nashua Extra300I, to mention just a few.
But there’s even more! From 15:00 to 17:00, thrilling drone displays, and captivating activities will keep the energy soaring. And when the sun sets the real party begins! The West Coast Airshow music concert starts at 17:00 and continues until 22:30, featuring headliner rockstar Karen Zoid, Mel Botes, Corné Louw, the West Coast Youth Orchestra’s marimba ensemble, and the enchanting Sandveld Stoftrappers.
