Polisie kry koper, ammunisie en ‘n vuurwapen

The owner of this firearm has appeared in die Malmesbury Magistrates’ Court on a charge of the failure to keep a firearm in a safe. Mothusi Sekhamane (48) had his first court appearance on Thursday 15 May after his loaded firearm was found under the counter of his premises. The previous day, eight young boys were playing pool and when the police, during a normal routine inspection, asked where the owner was, they could not say. After a few minutes, Sekhamane arrived and with further investigation the firearm was detected underneath the counter and he was arrested.

Hy het reeds die afgelope Vrydag (16 Mei) in die landdroshof verskyn nadat die polisie op dié ware, waarvoor hy geen redelike verduideliking kon gee nie, beslag gelê het. Hy kon ook nie sê hoe en waar hy dit gekry het nie.
