On Tuesday 5 July, at approximately 21:30, Operation Restore members were busy with an operation in Vredenburg to keep drugs off the streets. They received information about drug activities at a certain address in Lepelaar Street, Witteklip and responded immediately. They found a male suspect who referred them to the main house. The police searched the house and found drugs hidden between doors. Forty Mandrax tablets and 10 units of tik with an estimated street value of R2 200 and an undisclosed amount of cash, believed to be proceeds of drug sales, were found in his pockets. The 25-year-old suspect was arrested and detained at the Vredenburg Police Station for dealing in drugs.
