As part of Women’s Day celebrations, stakeholders including Government Communication and Information System (GCIS), local police, Laaiplek local clinic, Finbond and One Billion Rising hosted a Women’s Day event on Tuesday 9 August. The celebrations took place at the Bethlehem House of Fresh Bread Worship Centre in Laaiplek. The host for the day was pastor Rochelle Stevens. On the day the women heard from various guest speakers and engaged in talks about gender- based violence, mental health and much more. Pictured are guest speakers Esmarelda Mckay, Elresa Stevens, Camelita Ross, host Rochelle Stevens and guest speaker Alida Smit.
