Neil Sandilands will perform live at Die Koelkamers on Friday 13 January, at 19:00, with acclaimed guest artists Albert Frost and Schalk Joubert.
Enjoy an evening of musical performance that plays out as a poetic unfolding of storytelling in Sandilands’ native tongue, Afrikaans, with a little bit of protest, self-deprecating humour and irony woven into a left-of-centre delivery with his ukulele and guitar.
In its acoustic form it is truly engaging and mesmerising, having received a fantastic review from Die Burger’s Arts Editor, Laetitia Pople, and standing ovations from Sandilands’ audiences. For this repertoire he will be joined by Frost and Joubert on bass, two of SA’s most celebrated musicians, on electric guitar and bass, respectively.
