In support of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children, child-rights organisation Badisa Weskus held a silent march showing solidarity against gender-based violence (GBV) and child abuse. The two marches took place on Thursday 28 November and Monday 2 December in Saldanha and Langebaan. Badisa believed a silent march would have a strong impact, allowing participants to reflect on the cause and showing the community the seriousness of GBV. “The aim was to allow the participants and the community to express its support for survivors,” it stated, “demonstrating that they are not alone and the community stands with them.”Foto:
