Winners of the Atlantis Special Economic Zone Company (ASEZCo) inaugural Atlantis Change Challenge for Primary, Secondary and College students of Atlantis, Witsand, Pella and Mamre showcased their models at the Enlit Africa Conference on Thursday 9 June.

The event took place at the Cape Town Convention Centre and students had the opportunity to speak to leaders in the energy sector.

The Enlit Africa energy-related event brings cutting-edge content through webinars and exclusive one on one interviews with the who’s who of the energy sector.

Enlit offers several opportunities to engage with customers stakeholder and peers to ensure a strengthened relationship in the Energy space and Students had a chance to be exposed and to soak up information from industry leaders.

The Atlantis Change Challenge 2022’s aim was to create awareness of the concept of a green economy and introducing the objectives of the ASEZ Company to the youth.

The competition was also directed at school learners and college students, challenging and supporting them as they make positive changes today to influence tomorrow.

They had to submit their prototype/model, demonstrating how renewable energy can bring change to their schools, college and community about, by incorporating elements of the green economy.

The students presented and spoke about their models to a larger, more knowledgeable audience at the conference. Those there who heard the students were struck by their brilliance and the competitive ideas they had come up with. The students also circulated and spoke with exhibitors, networked and made the most of their time.
