Keep your kids busy this easy Easter weekend with these Easter-themed crafts.

Buy paper maché eggs from a local craft store. Decoupage these and on drying eggs they will be smooth and so bright they’ll seem to glow.

You will need:

. 12 papier maché eggs

. Tissue paper (cut into 2,5-cm squares)

. Newspaper

. Mod podge

. Paintbrushes

. Scissors

Directions:

Using the brush, spread a small amount of mod podge onto an egg. Place a piece of tissue paper or newspaper over the glue and press it down with the brush.

Continue working this way until the entire egg is covered in paper. Place the eggs on a parchment-lined cookie rack or plastic plate to dry.

Activities and games

Enjoyed a classic Easter Egg Hunt at home with the papier maché eggs. They are easy enough to spot in the shades.

Since these eggs are not breakable, they would also be awesome for egg toss and egg-and-spoon races!
