The Coronavirus pandemic has denied six students from Atlantis Modelling School (AMS) the opportunity to enjoy tea with the President on Youth Day.
Hazel Swarts, from the school, says the students have been nominated to represent the local not-for-profit organisation AMS.
The high tea with the president was arranged by the South African Children Awards, an annual event for children and youth of all races who extend there talents and charity within the community and beyond.
Though they couldn’t have tea with the President, the group will still be attending an awards evening in Gauteng planned for 16 December.
They are looking for monetary donations to assist with travelling expenses.
