It all started with YouTube videos and in her second pageant she managed to clinch the title of Tiny Miss Western Province early December last year in Bothasig.

The tiny queen also received an invitation to Miss Junior South Africa 2024. The eligible age groups for the pageant ranges from 3 to 25 years old.

Described as a talkative and outspoken little girl, Sameeykah has been in the modelling industry for only a few months, said proud mother Shamoodah Kader-Bodkin.

She said her daughter was intrigued by modelling and the pageantry scene by watching YouTube videos.

“She was always watching the YouTube videos, putting make-up on, putting on her heels and walking around the house modelling,” she said. “I asked her if she wanted to model, and she said yes. I then decided to enrol her into a local modelling school.”

Shameeykah was not only crowned Tiny Miss Western Province 2023 she was also crowned Ambassador and received certificates for best ramp, best evening wear, most photogenic and public choice her mum told Weskus Nuus. She was placed in the top three as the first princess for the Miss Jomos Powers pageant in her first event, mum said proudly.

She added that now with sights set on the upcoming pageant, the aspiring Miss South Africa and her family are hoping to draw sponsors, as pageants do become expensive, and requests that possible sponsors for Shameeykah please contact her on 062 123 2657.

A fundraiser will be held on 2 March at Protea Park Primary, where tik tok sensations from all over will appear.
