Additional safety measures have been put in place at Atlantis police station to safeguard vehicles and property. Several police stations have been attacked and suffered from vandalism and theft, and Atlantis police station is no exception.
On several occasions video footage showed people wandering around the premises at night and early hours of the morning. Equipment including computers and cell phones were stolen from the offices.
Instruction was received from Provincial Office Cape Town that at night police stations must secure their premises. Therefore as a precautionary measure the front steel gate will be closed and clients can gain access by ringing the red buzzer of the small gate.
Service delivery will still continue.
