The City of Cape Town’s Transport Directorate hereby advises residents and road users in Witsand of the construction of new footways along Chris Hani Street and Nthete Road, Witsand.
Work will take place Monday to Friday (07:00-17:00) from 17 January for approximately three months, weather permitting.
Please note that:. Parked vehicles that obstruct roadworks will be moved or towed away.. Vehicles may be parked in demarcated construction areas after 18:00, but must be removed before 06:30 each morning.. Traffic moving in both directions will be affected.. Flag personnel will regulate traffic in one direction at a time.. Areas where work takes place will be temporarily demarcated to regulate traffic flow.
No congestion is expected in the area, but it is recommended that road users consider alternative routes.
