On Saturday 13 November Avondale Primary’s majorettes participated in the Federation of Dance, Drill Cheerleading and Majorettes Provincial Championship at the Western Cape Sports School in Kuils River. The Avondale Primary majorettes came first in all the categories – mini formations and groups in the following displays flag, baton, non-prop, pop dance, and mace. They also won the Small Drill section, Leader 1st, sub-leaders 1st, squad 1st, display first. Avondale Primary is the Champ of Champs in the Province. The Avondale Senior team won all the mini formations and flag group and they came second overall.
