If any or all of the above, then The Borez Dance Sport Studio in Blaauwberg Sands may be the place for you. Clint Borez, owner and coach, is giving an opportunity to dance to 12 youngsters with a passion and feeling for dancing, with a one-year scholarship at his studio.
Dancers between 6 and 16 years can contact him for an interview and audition.
“Growing up on the Cape Flats I know how easy it is for our young ones to fall into the trap of drugs and gangsterism,” he explained.
“The Borez dance studio wants to give youngsters the opportunity to rise above their circumstances.”
Muneeb Farmer and Karishma Valloo from Atlantis made the studio super proud when they were the first ever SA junior couple to win both the Ballroom and Latin junior division at the Summer Dance Cup in Denmark 2019.
Since the start of Borez Dance Sport in 2009 all Borez Dance Sport students have a very successful competitive record, with dancers achieving 90% podium positions and several recipients of provincial and national Colours on average, Borez said.
Some of the students recent achievements include:. 8 podiums at rumba In The Jungle in Sun City. 4 podiums at the South African Championships 2018 . 6 podiums at the Summer Dance Cup in Denmark. 12 podiums at Rumba In The Jungle in Sun City. 2 podiums at the South African Championship
