On Saturday 11 September City of Cape Town’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Management, Alderman Grant Twigg said, “Interacting with community representatives who participated in the training, I was happy to hear their stories of personal development,” when he handed over certificates to 17 community representatives who successfully completed Capacity Building Training facilitated by the Mayoral Urban Regeneration Programme (MURP) during June.
Positive training interventions such as these are necessary as it helps holistic growth and development.
“At the same time, these participants also feel empowered, as the skills they have acquired will enable them to influence positive change in Atlantis,” said Twigg.

“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity that the City has given us with this training. It has helped me to develop personally and as a result, I am a stronger and wiser person,” said Tyler Washington, one of the participants.
