Enjoy the holiday and the safe summer season with the help of the MyCiTi.
Atlantis residents are encouraged to make use of the special, free MyCiTi service to get vaccinated at the Saxonsea Community Hall from 6 to 24 December.
The shuttle is free to everyone in the area to get to the vaccination site and back, without needing to pay for transport.
The route will run from the MyCiTi Starke stop, via Protea Park and Wesfleur to Atlantis Station and onward to Saxonsea Community Hall via Charel Uys Drive.
Sites are Starke, Berzelia, Begonia, Aloe, Acacia, Azalea, Flamingo Park, Reygersdal, Atlantis Station, Arion, Charel Uys North, Clearwater, Deerlodge and Saxonsea Clinic.
The City of Cape Town strongly encourages everyone in Atlantis who isn’t fully vaccinated to protect themselves and their loved ones by using this opportunity to take a free ride with MyCiTi and get vaccinated.
The service will run according to the operating hours of the vaccination site.
Buses will depart every 20 minutes to and from the Saxonsea Community Hall, as follows:
Weekdays from 07:30 to 15:10
Saturdays from 07:30 to 12:10
Sunday 19 December from 07:30 to 13:10
These buses will be clearly marked as a “free shuttle” to help passengers identify them.
Aside from getting to the vaccination sites MyCiti service can help you get to the beach for some fun in the sun.
In the city there will be extra services along the 106 and 107 routes to Camps Bay to help passengers get to the beach without worries about parking.
Buses will operate every 18 minutes from 10:00 until end of service on 26 and 27 December and 1 and 2 January.
For those looking to visit a beach closer to home the Silverstream resort holiday service will be up and running again.
Atlantis residents can enjoy a special holiday service between Atlantis station and Silverstream beach from 26 December to 2 January 2022.
Buses on route 247 will depart daily during this period at 09:30 and 13:00 from Atlantis Station, and 10:00, 13:30 and 18:00 from Silverstream strand.
All Covid-19 protocols are still to be adhered to on public transport.
