The first From Rio to Atlantis Community Festival will be hosted by the community organisation Remember Me. Bianca Keldin from the organisation said the event will kickoff on Saturday morning 14 May with a street parade from the VGK Church in Avondale to the venue at Wesfleur Park. The Saturday programme will be full of fun with such features as modelling shows, car park-offs and mini-rides. The festival will end on Sunday with praise and worship, where there will be an outreach with 300 community elders and Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis as special guest. Entry fee is R10 for adults and R5 for kids.
