South Africans can now access a free platform dedicated to helping those wanting to obtain their learner’s licences.
The Digital Unbounded (DU) K53 Ultimate Learner’s Guide, developed by GT500v, an innovative company operating as subsidiary to the DU Group, offers a learner’s test course that covers motorcycles, light motor vehicles and heavy-duty vehicles.
GT500v director Kashief Heuvel said the idea originated when a group executive who had bought a motorcycle needed to obtain a suitable driver’s licence.
“I was looking for an online class, but couldn’t find one that was fully comprehensive,” he said. “The idea was to create an effective learning tool of our own, which we managed to launch in just three months.”
Heuvel said the GT500v team was very proud to pull it off in such a short time, considering it was a long-distance collaboration among team members based in Duynefontein, Atlantis, Malmesbury and Johannesburg.
The DU K53 platform is fully responsive, which means anyone with a smartphone, tablet or computer will be able to make use of this opportunity.
Users will be able to take quick tests without the need to register. Once registered you will have access to the simulated tests, which effectively indicate one’s readiness for the actual tests offered by the respective traffic departments.
