A 32-year-old Welkom woman has disappeared without a trace. Anuschka Janine Saunders was reported missing five months ago, and her whereabouts remain a mystery.
Anuschka was last seen on Tuesday, 27 May, at about 17:20 in Welkom, after she informed her friend that she was going to the shop. She never returned.
A missing persons file was registered. Efforts to find Saunders have proved unsuccessful. Police investigations are ongoing.

She is described as being 1.6 metres in height, of average build, with brown eyes and medium-length brown hair.
Saunders has several distinctive scars and tattoos. These include a cut on her left thumb, a scar on her foot, and tattoos on the inside of her forearms and her ring finger. She also has piercings on her stomach, and in her ears and tongue.
According to a post on Facebook, her mother Monica Ras says she had allegedly gone to buy milk at around 17:20, and by 18:00 her phone was already switched off. Since then, she has not been seen again, and nothing has been heard from her.
Ras said on Facebook that it is completely out of character for her daughter to disappear without contacting her loved ones. All of Saunders’ belongings are still with the friend she was staying with, and it is not like her to cut all ties, especially not with her two children.
Police are appealing to anyone with information on the whereabouts of Saunders to contact D/Sgt Stanley Manake of the Welkom Detective Services on mobile number 065 853 0130, or the CrimeStop number 08600 10111, or alternatively send an anonymous tip-off via the MySAPS App.
