On 10 April, Dr Igor Scheurkogel, DA Matjhabeng caucus leader, lodged a formal written complaint with the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Council.
Scheurkogel says the continued Riebeeckstad and Matjhabeng water fiasco is a violation of human rights and constitutional rights of over 100 000 people in Matjhabeng.
“Your urgent intervention will greatly be appreciated, because people have been going without water for months now,” stated Scheurkogel.
