The Mad Hatters Tea Party was held by the Rotary Club of Flamingo Welkom on 26 March to raise funds that will go to support the local community. All guests were asked to bring Easter eggs, which will be donated to various orphanages and be used to hold an Easter egg hunt at Charlotte Moll Haven in Virginia. Presenters on the day included Capt. Andries Coetzee, who demonstrated some self-defence techniques and spoke to the guests about safety and security. There was also a first aid demonstration showing what to do in an emergency and some vital things to keep on hand in your home in case of a medical emergency.
