Nadia Wulff of Life Church Welkom – As believers in Christ, we have been given a unique privilege that no other created being possess – we are ambassadors for Christ, created in his image and called to reflect his glory.
What an incredible calling it is to reflect the very things our world longs for most: love, hope, grace and mercy.
One of the greatest misconceptions is that God requires perfection before He can use us. In reality, He simply asks for willing hearts – people who will allow Him to work in them and through them. As Romans 3:23-24 reminds us: For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Being an image-bearer of Christ does not depend on our own strength, abilities, or worldly qualifications.
It is a gift of grace, freely offered to all who choose to receive it through faith.
Though it came at an immeasurable cost through Christ’s sacrifice, it is freely given to those who accept Him.
An ambassador does not represent personal interests, but those of the nation he or she serves.
In the same way, we represent the Kingdom of God,
serving the purposes of our loving and merciful Father.
He does not leave us to fulfil this calling in our own strength; instead, He equips and empowers us through his Spirit.
What a profound joy and privilege it is to be an ambassador for the Kingdom of God. – Nadia Wulff of Life Church Welkom
