Chulumanco Bomela of the Unitas Secondary School represented the Free State at the national Nkosi Albert Luthuli Oral History competition in Gauteng, held from 22 to 25 August. He obtained first position in the Gr. 9 Young Historian category. Chulumanco presented a research paper and PowerPoint presentation on the expansion of the nuclear system. He was awarded by the minister of social development, and deputy minister of basic education.
