The Free State provincial leadership, led by Premier Sisi Ntombela (middle, front) visited Matjhabeng on Tuesday (07/06) to observe first-hand issues within the municipality. Hosted by the executive mayor, Thanduxolo Khalipha (here in conversation with Ntombela), they interacted with and addressed members of the community of Nyakallong who are severely affected by sewage spillages. They also visited farmers and business people affected by the closure of the section of road on the R30 outside Allanridge. An interim committee will meet by Friday to find a lasting solution to the road challenge. In Allanridge about 82 households have been affected by water and sewage spillages. The home owners will be temporarily housed until a more permanent solution can be found. The visiting group also included Mxolisi Dukwana, Tshidi Koloi, Tate Makgoe, Mamiki Qabathe and Limakatso Mahasa.
