The Rearabetswe Secondary School in Odendaalsrus participated in the Free State Schools Provincial Debating League. The team debated on 27 August at the Hentie Cilliers High School in Virginia. Here they were recognised as the best team for 2022, and each team member received a medal. Free State debating runs two separate leagues in conjunction with the South African Council for English Education (SACEE). There is a Bloemfontein league, which runs throughout the year. There is also a Goldfields league, which caters for the Welkom district. Both leagues serve the Free State Schools Debating Board.
